Man Wanted In Clay County Sexual Abuse Case Arrested In Kansas

(Spencer)– A man wanted in connection with a sexual abuse case out of Clay county has been arrested in Kansas.

The Clay County Sheriff’s Office says 49-year-old Roy Evans was arrested last Thursday at his residence in Meriden, Kansas.

Evans was wanted on a warrant charging him with sexual abuse in the third degree in connection with an alleged incident in rural Clay county back in 1999 involving a child. The charge is a class “B” felony.

Evans was transported Tuesday to the Clay county jail where he’s being held on a $25,000 cash only bond.

The Clay County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Jefferson County, Kansas Sheriff’s Office.
