(Spirit Lake)– Lakes Regional Healthcare has a new chaplain.
Pastor Matt Warnke began his new duties at LRH Thursday.
Warnke and his wife Kim moved to the Iowa Great Lakes from Key West, Florida. He recently retired from the U.S. Navy where he served as chaplain 21 years.
Warnke will meet with inpatients and assist them with spiritual needs and, when requested, will contact their local church.
Warnke is a native of Sheldon.
The hospital chaplain position is a joint effort by Lakes Regional Healthcare and the Dickinson County Ministerial Association.
