(Spirit Lake)– The Dickinson county board of supervisors this (Tues.) morning voted unanimously to approve the appointment of a seven-member commission that will oversee the drawing of new supervisor district lines.
Four Republicans and three Democrats were appointed to the county’s re-districting commission. They include Milo Kenwall of the Emerson Bay area; Marilyn Lewis of Terril; Joy Janachowsky, Wayne Northey and Bonnie Fokken…all of the Spirit Lake area; Owen Primavera of Okoboji and Ruthann Vandonselaar of Milford.
They’ll have the job of re-drawing new supervisors districts based on the latest census figures. Each district must be nearly equal in population, with a deviation of one percent or less.
