The Iowa State Patrol says 35-year-old Clifford Rud of Sibley was driving the 2001 truck owned by GCC Alliance Concrete Incorporated of Orange City when its steering linkage on the left front wheel broke. The truck went into the east ditch and flipped onto its side.

Rud was taken by ambulance to the Sheldon hospital where he was treated for minor injuries.

$1,500 in damage was estimated to the truck.

The incident took place shortly before 4:30 p.m. On Nest Avenue about a half mile north of Highway 18 in O’Brien county.
