(Washington, D.C.)– Two northern Iowa airports have been awarded federal funding for various maintenance projects.
The Northwest Iowa Regional Airport in Spencer will receive $234,611 dollars to rehabilitate the runway and for taxiway lighting to enhance airfield operations during low visibility conditions.
The Algona Airport was awarded $161,500 to rehabilitate the existing pavement.
Slightly more than 1.2 million dollars was awarded to five Iowa airports through the Department of Transportation’s Federal Aviation Administration.
