(Terril)– No injuries were reported in a freak accident recently on Dickinson County Road N-14 south of Terril.
The Iowa State Patrol says 42-year-old Edwin Haler of Elmore, Minnesota was driving a 1999 Truck loaded with scrap metal when an old car door fell off the load. The door struck a 2008 Ford pickup driven by 44-year-old Arthur Hampe of Ruthven, causing him to lose control.
Hampe’s vehicle sustained an estimated $3,000 in damage as a result. No damage was reported to the truck driven by Haler, who was cited for spilling a load on a highway.
