(Estherville)– Charges have been filed against two men accused of vandalizing restrooms at the Tuttle Lake Campground owned by the Emmet County Conservation Board.
The Emmet County Sheriff’s Office says it was notified of the incident around 8:30 a.m. Wednesday.
Deputies say vandals used a wooden log, inflicting about $200 in damage to fixtures in the restroom.
Following an investigation, deputies arrested 18-year-old Tyler Anderson of Cylinder and 19-year-old Daniel Struecker of Burt.
Anderson was charged with criminal mischief in the fifth degree; Struecker was charged with possession of alcohol under the legal age and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Both men appeared before a judge the next day and pleaded guilty to the charges.
Both men were ordered to pay fines. In addition to the fines, Anderson was also ordered to pay $200 in restitution.
