(Milford)– Minor injuries were reported in a two-vehicle collision Tuesday afternoon in Milford.
Milford Police say 20-year-old Ryan Jennings of Spirit Lake was southbound on Highway 71 and was attempting to turn left onto County Road A34 when he traveled into the path of a northbound vehicle driven by 84-year-old Lauren Behrens of Windom, Minnesota.
Behrens and his wife, who was a passenger in his vehicle, were both taken by ambulance to Lakes Regional Healthcare in Spirit Lake where they were treated for minor injuries and released.
No injuries were reported to Jennings.
About $3,000 in damage was estimated to a Chevrolet Trailblazer driven by Jennings; atleast $5,000 in damage was estimated to a 2006 Ford Taurus Behrens was driving.
The collision took place around 4:15 p.m.
The Milford Police Department was assisted on the scene by the Arnolds Park Police Department, the Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office and several bystanders who assisted with traffic control until officers could arrive.
