(Spirit Lake)– No injuries were reported in a house fire late Sunday night on the west side of West Lake Okoboji.
Spirit Lake Fire Chief David Kollasch tells KUOO news firefighters were called to 15964 Highway 86 in the PMC area where smoke was reported in a bathroom.
Kollasch says occupants of the residence got out unharmed. He says most of the fire had been put out by the time firefighters arrived. Kollasch says firefighters stood by on the scene ventilating the structure.
He says the cause was attributed to an electrical short in a fan.
Firefighters were on the scene about 45 minutes to an hour.
Damage was limited to the bathroom.
