Disturbance Results In Multiple Charges

November 22, 2014

(Spencer)– A Terril woman faces multiple charges in connection with an incident early Saturday in a vehicle on Highway 71 in Clay county.

Authorities say they were called to the area of Highway 71 and County Road B-17 after getting a report of a vehicle that had been swerving all over the road and pulled over to the side with its hazard lights on.

Upon arriving, a deputy found a man standing on the side of the road and a woman sitting in the ditch.

Upon investigating, the deputy determined the woman, identified as 24-year-old Shawna Wille of Terril, was allegedly drunk. Deputies say Wille allegedly interfered with their investigation and that she was then placed under arrest with the assistance of two Spencer police officers who had been called for back-up.

Upon further investigation, officers determined Wille and her boyfriend had been in a vehicle with another man when they started arguing. Wille is accused of kicking the steering wheel, the ignition and the windshield, resulting in damage.

Wille was booked into the Clay county jail on charges of interference with official acts, public intoxication, criminal mischief in the fourth degree and assault on a peace officer.

Bond was set at $3,950 cash or surety.
