(Spirit Lake)– A weekend traffic stop resulted in drug charges against two Spirit Lake men.

The Spirit Lake Police Department says officers pulled over a vehicle shortly after 1:30 a.m. Saturday near the Highway 9 and 71 junction for a traffic-related violation.

Upon further investigation, two minors in the vehicle were allegedly found to be in possession of what’s alleged to be marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and alcohol.

20-year-old Samuel Stoller and 18-year-old James Heidebrink, both of Spirit Lake, were arrested on charges of possession of a controlled substance…marijuana; possession of drug paraphernalia; and possession of alcohol as a minor. Stoller was also cited for a traffic-related offense.
