(Spencer)– A Spencer man has hit it big playing an Iowa Lottery scratch-off game.
21-year-old Matt Soat was won of 18 people so far to win the top prize of $50,000 playing the Super Crossword instant-scratch game.
Soat says he bought the ticket at a convenience store in Peterson while on a lunch break. At first he thought he had won only $100, but it took a store clerk to tell him that he had won $50,000 instead.
He recently claimed his prize at the Iowa Lottery’s regional headquarters in Storm Lake.
