Young Campers Accused Of Going On Vandalism Spree

November 22, 2014

(Albert City)– Two 15-year-old boys and one 11-year-old face charges in connection with a vandalism spree July 1st in Albert City.

The Buena Vista County Sheriff’s Office says it received 18 reports of vandalism and criminal mischief that had occurred either late the previous night or early that morning. They say total damage estimates will likely be in the range of several hundred dollars.

An investigation led authorities to the three boys who were camping in a back yard that night. They face approximately 15 counts of vandalism and criminal mischief. They have been referred to juvenile court.

In addition, deputies charged 38-year-old Dawn Eberle of Albert City with allowing a minor to violate the set curfew time.

The case remains under investigation.
