(Sioux City)– A jury trial of a wrongful termination lawsuit filed against the city of Spirit Lake by two former Spirit Lake officers has been delayed again.
The trial, pitting the city against Doug Ricke and Larry Moorhead, was to have started today (Mon.) in U-S District Court in Sioux City. It’s been pushed back to Monday, August 2nd at 9:00 a.m. A pre-trial conference is set for 3:00 p.m. July 22nd.
Court documents site a conflict in the trial calendar as the reason for the delay.
In addition to the city of Spirit Lake, Mayor Eric Nielsen and Chief of Police Jon Martyr are named as defendants in the case.
