(Spencer)– There were a few tense moments at the Spencer Hospital expansion site this (Mon.) morning.
According to the hospital’s Marketing Director Susan Zulk, a steel worker was injured when he fell out of a basket while doing work on the structure around 8:30 a.m.
The worker, who’s name isn’t being released at this time, fell about eight feet to the ground. He was unconscious for a short time. It’s believed he suffered head injuries due to the fall. He regained consciousness in the Spencer Hospital Emergency Room before he was airlifted to another hospital.
The man is employed by Hawk and Sons of Rochester, Minnesota.
