(Arnolds Park)– Wooden boat enthusiasts will be converging on the Iowa Great Lakes this weekend. The annual Classic Wooden Boat Show will be held at the docks in front of the Arnolds Park Amusement Park. Organizer Mike Hagan says the show will be held both Saturday and Sunday for the first time in its 21-year history. Hours both days will be from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Hagan says this year’s show will be getting some national recognition. Photographers with Classic Boating…a premier wooden boat publication…will be in the lakes area starting Friday to photograph the historic boats. They’ll also be doing a piece on the Iowa Great Lakes Maritime Museum.
