(Heron Lake, Mn.)– A Heron Lake, Minnesota woman was injured when a car she was driving collided with a train this (Thurs.) morning.
The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office says 35-year-old Michelle Polzine of Heron Lake was driving a 1991 Cadillac when she collided with a Union Pacific train about a half mile northeast of the Miloma Elevator near Heron Lake.
Polzine was taken by ambulance to the Worthington Regional Hospital. The extent of her injuries wasn’t known.
The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office was assisted on the scene by the Minnesota State Patrol and the Heron Lake and Okabena Fire Departments.
The mishap took place shortly after 8:00 a.m.
