(Spencer)– Thousands of dollars of damage was done to a Spencer salon Tuesday after a car went through the front window.
Spencer police say the mishap took place around 11:00 a.m. Tuesday in the parking lot on the west side of Design Masters salon located at 407 1st Avenue East.
75-year-old Gladys Stamer of Sutherland was attempting to park her 2003 Lincoln directly in front of the salon when she accidentally hit the accelerator instead of the brake. The car wound up going through the front window of the salon.
The Spencer Fire Department was called to help remove Stamer from her vehicle. She was taken to the Spencer Hospital.
No one in the salon was injured.
Damage to the building was estimated at 10-thousand dollars.
Police say no charges were filed in the accident.
