(Spirit Lake)– An eyesore in the Maywood area of West Okoboji is about to get cleaned up.
The Dickinson county board of supervisors Tuesday authorized the payment of one thousand dollars to clean up an abandoned trailerhouse the county owns that’s parked on property owned by Don Siefkin near Lenz Market. The trailer is condemned and has fallen into disrepair.
The supervisors also approved transfering the title of the trailer to Siefkin.
The county inherited the trailerhouse and land it’s parked on through a tax forefeiture. The land was recently sold at a Sheriff’s Auction.
Siefkin told the supervisors he’s hired someone to clean it up and agreed to have it done in 90 days.
