(Wahpeton)– An accident today (Monday) on West Lake Okoboji involving two boats has claimed a life and resulted in multiple injuries.
Details into the accident, including the names of the victim and others that were involved, weren’t being made available late this (Mon.) afternoon.
The only thing officials WILL say is that it happened around 10:30 this (Monday) morning on near Manhattan Beach on West Lake Okoboji.
Rod Slings, Recreational Safety Program Supervisor for the DNR, says the injured boaters were taken by ambulance to Lakes Regional Healthcare. There was no word on the extent of their injuries.
