(Des Moines)– Add Buena Vista and Clay counties to the list of counties in Iowa where West Nile Virus has been detected so far.
They’re among 10 counties that were added to the list Tuesday by the Iowa Department of Public Health. That brings the total number of counties where the disease has been detected in Iowa to 75.
West Nile was detected in a dead crow found in south Spencer and in a horse in Buena Vista county.
No human cases have been confirmed yet in Iowa.
