West Bend & Palo Alto County Receive Tourism Grants

(West Bend)– The city of West Bend and Palo Alto county will receive funding to promote various attractions, as part of an effort between the western Iowa Tourism Region, Iowa Office of Tourism, and Iowa Department of Economic Development.

The West Bend Chamber of Commerce will receive just over 950 dollars for visitor guides and two-thousand dollars for semi-truck trailer ads.

Park View Inn and Suites was awarded 750 dollars for billboard advertising; and Palo Alto County Conservation received more than six hundred dollars for brochures.

The Western Iowa Tourism Region serves non-profit events and attractions in 36 counties in the western third of Iowa.

55 requests totaling 71-thousand dollars were handed out this year.
