(West Bend)– A local grain elevator has been awarded federal funding through the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Value-Added Producer Grant Program.
The West Bend Elevator Company in West Bend will receive 30,500-dollars.
U.S. Senator Charles Grassley says the program is intended to support the development of new programs and markets for agricultural products.
More than 2.8 million dollars in grants have been awarded through the program to 19 farmer enterprises in Iowa.
