(Estherville)– A fundraising effort to build a regional wellness center in Estherville has received another substantial contribution.

Aero Race Wheels of Estherville is kicking in 25-thousand dollars for the project.

Aero Race Wheels got its start six years ago as Armstrong Rim and Wheel. The company was sold to British holding company GKN in 1998. Skip Miller purchased the Aero portion of the business and moved the manufacturing facility from Armstrong to Estherville. The company employs 12 people and recently doubled the size of its plant. The company produces 400 to 500 wheels per day for racers such as Jeff Gordon, Rusty Wallace and Dale Jarrett.
