Weekend Traffic Stop Results In Drug Charges Against Ruthven Man

(Milford)– Multiple drug and traffic charges have been filed against a Ruthven man as the result of a traffic stop Saturday by Milford police.

Authorities say 23-year-old Ryan Stearns of Ruthven was believed to have been driving while under suspension and was pulled over for a traffic violation. A subsequent search of the vehicle resulted in officers finding marijuana, methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia and electronic devices.

Stearns was charged with two counts of possession with intent to deliver marijuana and methamphetamine; two counts of a drug tax stamp violation; possession of drug paraphernalia; prohibited acts; driving under suspension; failure to carry insurance; improper use of registration and failure to use a turning signal.

Milford police were assisted by the Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office and the Arnolds Park Police Department.

Authorities say their investigation in ongoing and more arrests are expected.
