(Spirit Lake)– A weekend traffic stop in Spirit Lake resulted in drug and other charges being filed against two juveniles–one from Harris and one from Spirit Lake.
Police say an officer pulled over a vehicle shortly before 1:00 a.m. Saturday in the area of 23rd Street and Jackson Avenue in Spirit Lake.
Upon further investigation, the Spirit Lake Police Department’s Canine Unit, Zeke, located what’s alleged to be marijuana in the marijuana in the vehicle.
The two juveniles were referred to juvenile court services on charges of possession of a controlled substance…marijuana; possession of drug paraphernalia; possession of tobacco; prohibited acts; and violation of curfew.
Their names weren’t released.
The juveniles were released to the custody of their guardians.
