(Wallingford)– Another local fire department has been awarded federal funding.
The Wallingford Fire Department will be getting 33-thousand dollars through the U-S Department of Homeland Security.
The money can be used to purchase equipment, for training, to enhance medical services programs, conduct fire prevention and safety programs or for health and safety programs.
Nine fire departments from throughout the state were awarded funding through the latest round of grants.
