A two-vehicle collision Wed. afternoon in Wahpeton sent one man to the hospital.
According to the Iowa State Patrol, the collision happened just before 1 o’clock Wednesday on Hwy 86. 36yr old Jose Roman-Canelo of Spirit Lake was heading northbound on 86 in his SUV when he collided head on with a southbound Semi-truck. The collision sent both vehicles into the east shoulder area.
Roman-Canelo sustained unknown injuries and was transported to Lakes Regional Healthcare in Spirit Lake with “incapacitating” injuries. The semi driver, James Anderson of Estherville, was uninjured in the crash.
