(Sibley)– Two people were injured, one seriously, when a van collided with a tractor pulling a planter Tuesday night in Osceola county.
The sheriff’s office says Shari Voss of Little Rock was westbound on county road A-22 when she collided with an eastbound dual-wheeled farm tractor pulling a corn planter. The tractor was being operated by Mark Nasers of Sibley. Authorities say the tractor and planter were left of the center line. Voss collided first with the tractor’s dual wheel…then the planter.
Two passengers in the van were injured. 13-year-old Levi Ringquest of Little Rock sustained major head injuries and was airlifted to Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls. Ethan Voss was taken by ambulance to the Osceola Community Hospital with minor injuries. He was treated and released.
The mishap took place around 9:00 p.m. about two and-a-half miles west of Sibley.
