(Milford)– The use of police cars, fire trucks and other city vehicles for escorts is causing concern among city officials in Milford.
A city council member Monday expressed concern that a police squad car was recently used in a wedding procession.
It was the concensus of council members that using city vehicles for that type of purpose isn’t proper. That includes the use of fire trucks to escort teams and other groups.
There is one exception, though. Council members agreed that funeral escorts with police cars will still be acceptable.
The city administrator was directed to express the council’s concern to the various city departments.
