USDA Loans Approved For Three Northwest Iowa Entities

(Undated)– Three northwest Iowa communities are receiving loans from the U-S Department of Agriculture.

The USDA has announced that five entities in Iowa are getting 1.45 million dollars in loans from the Rural Economic Development loan and grant program.

In our area the Humboldt County Rural Electric Cooperative in Algona is getting a 200-thousand dollar loan to build a new 14-thousand square foot assisted living facility with 16 units.

In Cherokee, the Area Economic Development Corporation is receiving a 200-thousand dollar loan to create relending programs for small businesses.

And the Northwest Rural Electric Cooperative in Orange City will get a 300-thousand dollar loan to help pay for the construction of a new diagnostic imaging center at the new hospital campus.
