(Fostoria)– An investigation into a report of underage drinking at a residence near Fostoria has resuled in charges against a couple of adults and some juveniles.
The Clay County Sheriff’s Office says deputies investigated a party at the Jacob Stricker residence at 1740 280th Street Saturday night. Upon questioning by deputies, Stricker denied being at the scene of the party. However upon further questioning deputies determined Stricker was not at the residence he claimed he was at that night.
Deputies also could smell alcohol on Stricker, who admitted that he did have one beverage. Stricker stated there was still some alcohol at his residence, resulting in deputies seizing numerous alcoholic beverages.
Stricker was then placed under arrest and was booked into the Clay county jail on charges of supplying alcohol to a minor, a serious misdemeanor; underage alcohol possession and interference with official acts…both simple misdemeanors.
18-year-old Tiffany Maurer of Sutherland was also arrested and charged with interference with official acts in connection with the same party. She was taken into custody following a traffic stop after a deputy witnessed a vehicle she was driving that had suddenly turned its headlights off. Maurer was later released after posting a 300-dollar cash bond.
Three adult males and one adult female who were with Maurer were cited and released for underage alcohol possession.
