(Graettinger)– Upper Des Moines Opportunity has received federal funding to help with its Head Start program.
U-S Senator Chuck Grassley says the agency has been awarded nearly 557-thousand dollars to help provide year-round part-day services and handicapped programs.
U-D-M-O is one of five Iowa agencies to share in 6.3 million dollars being awarded to Head Start programs through the U-S Department of Health and Human Services.
