(Arnolds Park)– Cheerleaders have been announced for this year’s University of Okoboji Iowa Great Lakes Winter Games to be held January 25th through the 28th.
Presiding over this year’s activities will be Blain Andera, Director of Spirit Lake Mainsail; Alex Den Herder of Spirit Lake who was instrumental in the construction of Shelby’s Playground; Don and Marge Gregerson of Spirit Lake…known for their work with Boy and Girl Scouts and as church youth directors; Molly Rohlfsen of Arnolds Park…a great promoter of the lakes area; Darwin Pike of Spirit Lake for all his work for community and school events; Bob Shaw of Spirit Lake…one of the founding fathers of the University of Okoboji Winter Games; and Larry Stoller of Spirit Lake…another man who’s been instrumental in promoting the Iowa Great Lakes over the years.
The cheerleaders will officially be introduced to the public at the fireworks extravaganza Saturday, January 26th at 6:30 p.m.
