(Arnolds Park)– The committee organizing this year’s University of Okoboji Winter Games has announced the Cheerleaders that will oversee the various events January 30th through February 1st.
They include John Adams of Arnolds Park–editor of the Lakes News Shopper; Steve Anderson…Director of the Iowa Great Lakes Maritime Museum in Arnolds Park; Phyllis Kempema…Director of Discovery House in Spirit Lake; Pat McGill of Arnolds Park who was nominated for her work as a volunteer for church and community and involvement with the Iowa Navy Commodores; Cary Parker of Spirit Lake for his years of promoting the Arnolds Park Amusement Park and youth programs; Mike Peschon, who for years has coordinated the 5K and 10K runs for the Winter Games; Chad Schuchert, a former President of the MainSail Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors; and Barbara Tagami, Dickinson County Naturalist.
The cheerleaders will officially be introduced to the public at the annual Fireworks Extravaganza at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, January 31st.
