(Arnolds Park)– The University of Okoboji Foundation has given 110-thousand dollars in grants to various causes in the Iowa Great Lakes in its latest round of awards.
The Lakes Area Extrication Unit is getting 10-thousand dollars for a new truck; the Lakes Art Center will receive 15-thousand for stage lighting; 10-thousand will go to the Northwest Iowa Youth Athletic Association for the construction of new soccer and little league fields in Lake Park; the foundation awarded 25-thousand dollars for its final installment in the “Save-The-Park” campaign and a 50-thousand dollar installment was awarded to the foundation’s 300-thousand dollar grant for the Okoboji Spirit Center.
The grants that were announced in the latest round bring the total amount of money the foundation has awarded over the past 12 years to 800,700-dollars.
