(Des Moines)– Two northwest Iowans were among those Governor Vilsack honored Friday with Lifesaving Awards.
Tom Leach and Wesley Leach…both of Armstrong…were recognized for their help in rescuing an elderly couple who had been stranded in their car for more than 24 hours when temperatures were below zero.
The Governor presented the Lifesaving awards during a ceremony at the Iowa State Fair.
