November 22, 2014

(Sibley)– Two Sibley men face assault and drug charges following an incident Wednesday in Osceola county.

The Sheriff’s Office says 20-year-old David McCloskey of Sibley was arrested for allegedly committing assault, an aggravated misdemeanor; and possession of a controlled substance, a serious misdemeanor.

McCloskey is accused of threatening another person with a knife during an argument in Sibley.

A subsequent search of McCloskey’s vehicle turned up what’s alleged to be marijuana.

Upon further investigation authorities also arrested 18-year-old Roberto Ayala of Sibley on an assault charge, an aggravated misdemeanor. He’s accused of threatening another person with a baseball bat during an argument in Sibley.

A search warrant executed on McCloskey’s residence in Sibley resulted in an additional charge of possession of drug paraphernalia being filed against both men.

McCloskey is being held in the Osceola county jail on a $3,300 cash bond; bond for Ayala was set at $2,300 cash.
