(Okoboji)– A traffic stop early this (Thursday) morning in Okoboji has landed a Lakefield, Minnesota man in jail on drug charges.
Okoboji police say they pulled over a pickup driven by 41-year-old Frederick Kaminska the third around 2:40 a.m. Kaminska was initially arrested for driving with a revoked driver’s license.
A subsequent search of his vehicle led to the discovery of drugs and paraphernalia. That resulted in additional charges being filed against Kaminska, including possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute methamphetamine; possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute marijuana; possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute psilacybin mushrooms; a drug tax stamp violation; three counts of possessing a prescription drug without a prescription and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Kaminska was booked into the Dickinson county jail on 37-thousand dollars bond.
Okoboji police were assisted by the Spirit Lake Police Department and the Arnolds Park Police Department Canine Unit.
