Traffic Stop Near Terril Results In Drug Bust

(Spirit Lake)– A traffic stop near Terril Wednesday night resulted in drug charges being filed against two people.

The Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office says a deputy pulled over a vehicle for speeding around 11:00 p.m. north of Terril. A search was conducted involving the sheriff’s drug dog, which turned up cocaine, marijuana, mushrooms and drug paraphernalia in the car’s console, back seat and trunk.

33-year-old Alex Simich of Windom, Minnesota was arrested and charged with possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver; possession of marijuana, possession of cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia. Similar charges were filed against a passenger in the vehicle, 44-year-old Robert Volk of Dunnell, Minnesota.

Simich was also charged with driving while suspended.

Both were booked into the Dickinson County Jail on bond of 18-thousand dollars each.

Authorities seized the vehicle and 325-dollars in cash.
