Traffic Stop Leads To Drug Charges Against Gruver Man

November 22, 2014

(Spirit Lake)– Drug charges have been filed against a Gruver man as the result of a traffic stop early this morning in Spirit Lake.

Spirit Lake police say an officer noticed a suspicious vehicle in the Wal-Mart parking lot around 1:30 a.m. Upon approaching the driver, who wasn’t wearing a seatbelt, took off. The officer pulled the vehicle over a short time later for a traffic violation. A subsequent search of the vehicle turned up some marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

19-year-old Daryl Kirchner of Gruver was taken into custody and charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. He was booked into the Dickinson county jail.
