(Spencer)– A traffic stop Friday evening in Clay county has resulted in numerous charges against a Hartley man.
The Clay County Sheriff’s Office says deputies pulled over a vehicle driven by 27-year-old Jessie English of Hartley for a traffic violation. Upon further investigation, authorities learned English’s driver’s license had been revoked for a prior charge of possession of a controlled substance, marijuana. English was then arrested. A subsequent search of the vehicle he was driving turned up a baggie of marijuana. English was taken to the Clay county jail where he was booked on additional charges of possession of a controlled substance, marijuana; driving while revoked; failure to obey a stop sign; operating without registration and no proof of insurance.
