Traffic Stop Lands Ashton Woman In Jail

November 22, 2014

(Sibley)– A traffic stop Friday landed an Ashton woman in jail on a drug charge.

The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office says a deputy pulled over a vehicle driven by 18-year-old Kari Buckley for an alleged traffic offense. Authorities then learned that Buckley didn’t have a driver’s license or SR-22 insurance. She was then placed under arrest. A subsequent search of the vehicle produced what’s alleged to be a marijuana pipe.

Buckley was charged with not having SR-22 insurance and possession of drug paraphernalia…both simple misdemeanors. She was also cited for no driver’s license and parking on the paved part of a roadway.
