(Spencer)– Three teens were injured in a one-vehicle accident Tuesday evening two miles northeast of Spencer.
The Clay County Sheriff’s Office says 16-year-old Joshua Barnes of Spencer lost control of a 1996 Dodge Caravan about a quarter-of-a-mile south of the intersection with 240th Street and 310th Street. Authorities say the vehicle went into the ditch with the front bumper hitting the bottom. The vehicle then rolled end-over-end, winding up on it’s top.
Barnes and two passengers, 16-year-old Jessie Stamper and 15-year-old John Ingeldue both of Spencer, were taken by ambulance to the Spencer Hospital.
The vehicle was described as a total loss.
The mishap took place around 5:45 p.m.
The Clay County Sheriff’s Office was assisted on the scene by the Fostoria Rescue Unit and Spencer Ambulance.
