Three Teens Arrested In Ruthven Criminal Mischief Case

November 23, 2014

(Emmetsburg)– Palo Alto county authorities have charged three people in connection with a criminal mischief complaint in Ruthven.

Authorities say the owner of the De Ja Vu Cafe in Ruthven reported in June that a plate glass window had been broken out of the front of the building, causing over a thousand dollars in damage.

The sheriff’s office says an investigation has resulted in charges being filed against 19-year-old Rene Samaniego of Ayrshire; 19-year-old Joshua Snyder of Ruthven and a 17-year-old male from Ruthven. They’ve been charged with criminal mischief in the second degree, a class “D” felony.

Snyder is being held in the Palo Alto county jail on bond of nearly seven thousand dollars. Samaniego was cited and given a court date; and the juvenile was summoned to juvenile court.
