(Sanborn)– O’Brien county authorities have arrested three men in connection with a burglary of a Sanborn residence.
Authorities say 18-year-old Troy Werkmeister of Hartley, 21-year-old Justin Dinger of Sanborn and a 17-year-old juvenile from Sanborn have been charged with burglary in the third degree.
Authorities say the three were arrested after a neighbor witnessed the burglary, followed the suspects and reported their location to a dispatcher by cell phone.
The three young men were apprehended about 10 miles from Sanborn. Items from the residence were also recovered.
The investigation resulted in two search warrants being executed resulting in the seizure of additional stolen property and controlled substances.
Justin Dinger was also charged with manufacturing a controlled substance…marijuana…a class “D” felony.
Dinger and Werkmeister are being held in the O’Brien county jail on five thousand dollars bond.
