(Terril)– The Terril School has received a three thousand dollar grant to help with start-up costs of its new pre-school program.
Superintendent Bruce Tepfer says the grant is through the Lakes Area Decategorization/Empowerment Board which serves Clay, Dickinson, Osceola and O’Brien counties.
This is the first year Terril’s pre-school program has been in existence. Tepfer says it came about as the result of a recommendation from the district’s steering committee that is looking at various options for the future of the Terril school district and ways to increase enrollment.
Tepfer says the pre-school program is offered three days a week, full-days, with the option of half-days if parents wish. Tepfer says there’s been a tremendous response to the program, which is full. He says they are taking names for a waiting list and for the upcoming school year. Anyone interested should contact the Terril School for more information.
