Terril, Graettinger & Ruthven-Ayrshire Look Into Sharing

November 23, 2014

(Ruthven)– Three northwest Iowa school districts are talking about not only sharing athletics…but academics as well.

Representatives of the Terril, Graettinger and Ruthven-Ayrshire school boards met Wednesday evening in Ruthven to initiate the talks. Terril Superintendent Bruce Tepfer tells KUOO news the discussions were very preliminary and no firm decisions were made on either athletic or whole grade sharing. He says the talks were very positive though and that administrators of the three schools will start looking at possible options.

The districts are already sharing several sports: baseball, softball and track.

Tepfer says additional meetings will be held in the near future.
