(Jackson)– Three teenagers were injured in a two-vehicle accident Wednesday in Jackson county.
The sheriff’s office says vehicles driven by 17-year-old Sheila Wagner of Lakefield and 16-year-old Jesse Schlager of Jackson collided at the intersection of two county roads. A suburban driven by Schlager rolled onto its top.
Schlager, Wagner and a passenger in the vehicle she was driving, 15-year-old Joe Wagner, were taken by ambulance to the Jackson Medical Center. Joe Wagner was transferred by air to Sioux Valley Hospital in Sioux Falls where he’s listed in critical condition. Sheila Wagner and Jesse Schlager were treated and released.
Both vehicles were totaled.
The mishap remains under investigation by the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office.
It happened shortly before 8:00 a.m.
