(Jackson, Mn.)– A Ceylon, Minnesota teen was injured in a one-vehicle crash Wednesday in Jackson county.
The Sheriff’s Office says 17-year-old Dustin Schultz of Ceylon lost control of a 2000 Ford Explorer as he was traveling south on County State Aid Highway 23, or the “Petersburg Road”. The vehicle went into the ditch on the right side of the road and struck a tree.
Schultz was taken by ambulance to the Jackson Medical Center. There was no word on the extent of his injuries.
Severe damage was reported to the vehicle.
The mishap took place shortly after 5:00 p.m. Authorities say the road was snow-covered at the time.
The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office was assisted on the scene by the Jackson Fire Department and Ambulance and the Minnesota State Patrol.
